I have a question...

So I'm sitting here watching The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and they just showed a clip of President Obama signing the new "Anti-Smoking" law.

Well, as Prezzy Obama was signing away, he went on to use 9, yes 9, pens.

So my question is this...

Does anyone know why there were 9 pens used? Have other presidents done this?

I'm just curious and I like to learn stuff....

  1. The "Presidential pens" are engraved and sort of like a keepsake. After the signing, they're usually given to people that were crutial in creating the bill or having it passed. They use lots of pens to make sure they have enough to give out to everyone that was deemed significant.
